Dietmann pianos were made in South Africa, using the highest quality materials including German soundboards which are best known for having the finest spruce (soft wood) to produce the the cleanest sound.
The company was founded by Dietmann, a German piano technician. Dietmann emigrated to South Africa in the 1920s and his son founded the piano factory in Wellington around 1955. Dietmann pianos have an excellent reputation as reliable instruments and were/are exported worldwide.
